The Forum deals with a wide range of recreational and functional access-related matters, giving advice to councils as well as local and national organisations. During the past year, this has included comments on proposed walking and cycling schemes, new woodlands, Landscape Recovery Projects, disability access improvements and responding to the All Party Parliamentary Group on Outdoor Recreation and Access. There is scope to develop a proactive agenda as well as responding to consultations.

The closing date is 30th November 2025, with appointments commencing in April 2026.
